Pony play components

Animal roleplay is a form of roleplay where at least one participant plays the part of a non-human animal. As with most forms of roleplay, its uses include play and psychodrama.

Animal roleplay may also be found in BDSM contexts, where an individual may take part in a dominant/submissive relationship by being treated as an animal. The activity is often referred to as petplay. However, not all types of animal roleplay within BDSM are petplay and not all petplay in BDSM involves roleplaying as an animal; some can be referred to as primal play and is not related or accepted by the furry fandom.

Like much of erotic play and roleplay, animal roleplay in an erotic or relational context is entirely defined by the people involved and by their mood and interests at the time of play. It ranges from the simple imitation of a vocal “whinnying” of a horse to the barking, panting or playful nudging of a puppy, or playful behaviour of a kitten, to crawling around on all fours and being fed, or petted, by hand. To the greater extremes of dressing up as a pony in modified horse tack, masks, prosthetics and temporary bondage based body modification (such as binding the forearms to the upperarms and/or the calves to the thighs).

Public participation in human animal roleplay is varied. A couple could inconspicuously role-play a pet play scene in public, which would look to the casual observer like one partner is merely stroking the other’s neck. In the case of some BDSM fetishists, one partner may wear a dog collar with a leash attached.

The reasons for playing such a character or animal can vary as much as the physical manifestations and intensity of the play. Some people enjoy being able to “cut loose” into a different, or more dynamic personality (see other variations). In some cases, pet play is seen as a loving, quiet cuddling time where there is no need for verbalizations and the simple act of stroking, rubbing and holding the other partner is satisfying or reassuring in and of itself for those involved. For others, there may be a spiritual side to it. Some feel closer to their animal totem, while others may identify with something akin to a deeper side or part of their own psyche (known as therianthropy). For still others, there is the experience of power exchange setup in a context or structure which they can accept.

Some cases could be considered a type of animal transformation fantasy. They can have strong elements of exhibitionism, be totally enjoyed in the privacy of the home, or lie somewhere between either boundary. While not widespread, erotic human-animal roleplay is still enjoyed by a sizable number of people. However, it is still primarily identified with BDSM practice. Though commonly misinterpreted as being associated with furry or other alternative lifestyle activities, that is generally not the case though some instances may exist.

For most participants, it has no connection whatsoever with bestiality, which is controversial and would usually be considered edgeplay in BDSM circles.

As mentioned in my previous blog on the FF, the primary theme of such animal role-play is often the voluntary (and sometimes) involuntary reduction (or transformation) of human beings to animals, and a subsequent focus on the altered mind-space created by the transformation.

The ponies in PP comprise three different groups although the activities are not mutually exclusive for the participants.

• Cart ponies: These are human ponies that pull a sulky with their rider (A sulky is a lightweight two-wheeled cart with a seat for the rider). These ponies wear bit-bridles and harnesses, blinkers, walk standing up, and have their hands secured behind their backs.

• Riding ponies: These are human ponies that are ridden on while they are on all fours or partly standing up on two legs by their rider (custom made saddle or bareback). Some (usually male) ponies prefer their riders to be on their shoulders. Riding ponies are harnessed, bridled and may wear blinkers.

• Show ponies: These are human ponies that show off their skills in dressage (e.g., choreographed pony-dance, cantering, etc.), can walk standing up or on their hands and knees, and typically wearing ornate and elaborate harnesses, plumes, etc.).

In an online essay on PP, Malfouka makes the point that this particular fetish is “not for the lazy” as the preparation involved for all PP participants (i.e., trainers, owners, groomers and riders) is time intensive. Malfouka gives a detailed description of the main PP protagonists.

• Trainers: These are the people who actually train the human pony (and may train many such people). The trainer is responsible for turning those who wish to be pony into an actual pony. Malfouka says “this distinction is important in that in the world of ponyplay, there is protocol to follow”. The most important thing to take on board is that no-one is a pony simply because they pretend to be one. It takes a long time of training for the human pony be taught the appropriate stance, demeanour, behaviour, showmanship and submission. Trainers can also be owners, riders, and/or groomers.

Owners: These are the people who “own” the human pony and are typically the riders too (i.e., the masters or mistresses). Owners plan the pony’s schedule, dress, and all associated activities (including which other riders can access the pony). Owners can also be trainers, riders, and/or groomers.

• Groomers: These are the people (often trainers and/or owners) who take charge of pony care (washing, bathing, petting, massaging, brushing hair), bathing.

• Riders: These are the people who ride the pony. Riders can comprise anyone that the owner and/or trainer have given permission to ride.

¿Pony play -Aristotle’s Perversion?

Ponyplay is a variation of BDSM in which one partner takes on the role of horse and the other takes on the role of trainer. Phyllis, a beautiful and shrewd woman, decided to exploit Aristotle’s infatuation to teach a lesson to her husband, who was neglecting her by spending whole days with his mentor. So she told Aristotle that she would grant him her favors if he agreed to let her ride on his back. Blinded by passion, the philosopher accepted and Phyllis arranged for Alexander the Great to witness, unseen, this comic and humiliating scene.

The story, mentioned for the first time in a sermon by Jacques de Vitry, became immediately widespread in popular iconography, so much so that it was represented in etchings, sculptures, furnishing objects, etc. To understand its fortune we must focus for a moment on its two main protagonists.

First of all, Aristotle: why is he the victim of the satire? Why targeting a philosopher, and not for instance a king or a Pope?
The joke worked on different levels: the most educated could read it as a roast of the Aristotelian doctrine of enkráteia, i.e. temperance, or knowing how to judge the pros and cons of pleasures, knowing how to hold back and dominate, the ability to maintain full control over oneself and one’s own ethical values.
But even the less educated understood that this story was meant to poke fun at the hypocrisy of all philosophers — always preaching about morality, quibbling about virtue, advocating detachment from pleasures and instincts. In short, the story mocked those who love to put theirselves on a pedestal and teach about right and wrong.

On the other hand, there was Phyllis. What was her function within the story?
At first glance the anecdote may seem a classic medieval exemplum designed to warn against the dangerous, treacherous nature of women. A cautionary tale showing how manipulative a woman could be, clever enough to subdue and seduce even the most excellent minds.
But perhaps things are not that simple, as we will see.

And finally there’s the act of riding, which implies a further ambiguity of a sexual nature: did this particular type of humiliation hide an erotic allusion? Was it a domination fantasy, or did it instead symbolize a gallant disposition to serve and submit to the beloved maiden fair?

To better understand the context of the story of Phyllis and Aristotle, we must inscribe it in the broader medieval topos of the “Power of Women” (Weibermacht in German).
For example, a very similar anecdote saw Virgil in love with a woman, sometimes called Lucretia, who one night gave him a rendez-vous and lowered a wicker basket from a window so he coulf be lifted up to her room; but she then hoisted the basket just halfway up the wall, leaving Virgil trapped and exposed to public mockery the following morning.

Basic equipment for horses

BASIC EQUIPMENT FOR HORSES-BEGGINER RIDER

HORSE ADVANCED TRAINING

How to train a horse–pony

Once you have learned the basic training of your little horse, you are ready to advance to the next level. We will tell you the step by step to be able to tame it, with much patience, love and respect.

LEG PERFORMANCE

Leg performance is a specific type of dressage that underlies a few more movements. In horses, leg movement results in a slightly diagonal movement as the horse moves to the side and forward when pressure is applied to his leg or crop. You will train your pony to do the same. First, you will teach leg performance as your pony walks, the slowest gait. You can train for faster steps in the future. If you want your pony to yield to the left, apply tension to the right rein to keep your pony in a straight line. Move the right side of the pony with the crop / whip so that it yields to the left. Reverse these movements to train your pony to yield to the right.

HORSE BASIC TRAINING

HOW TO TRAINING A HORSE

The horse basic training, especially a pony, may sound fun at first, but it is also quite a challenge. Especially if you are a beginner, the character of a horse, and of a pony without tame is difficult to handle, and can even be dangerous, so I recommend that you leave this in the hands of an expert trainer, however, that does not limit you you want to learn. COACH

The basic leadership position will place the coach, standing slightly in front and to the left of the pony while holding the reins or rope in his right hand and the rest in his left hand. Left-handed coaches may wish to switch sides and hold the reins in their dominant hand with the rest in their right hand. As you drive your pony, give it enough room for it to follow you, reducing slack only when the pony is not obeying. A quick snap of the reins or ropes will redirect the attention of a distracted pony. If your pony gets too close, an elbow strike encourages it to return to its place. For the most restless ponies, constantly pull to one side to force a circular jog until the focus is on. Then you can continue to lead in one line. Similarly, you can pull the pony towards you to compensate for balance. Always remember to use verbal cues when directing the pony, so he will pay more attention with command voices.

TIES

You can tie your pony’s rope and rein to the ground or other object when you’re working and need to keep it still. The process requires the pony to remain standing, with its back straight and a distributed weight.

The pony’s head should be raised and face forward. A movement of the crop against any part of the body that is not in correct form will help to correct the posture. You can tell your pony to relax, but this is the main position of being tethered. Ground bonding is a specific type of bonding where you leave your pony alone so you can get away and do other activities. Tying to the ground requires much longer reins (approximately 25 feet). Take your pony to the place where you want to put it and give instructions to “stay” or “stand”.

Pull the reins back, step forward and look at your pony. When your pony remains in position, you can return to the leadership position and encourage it with a “Good Pony” as the command voice. Otherwise, use a command like “Wrong” to correct your pony. Repeat this process 5-10 times to train your pony. After successfully completing, you can increase the distance by two steps each. Finally, you will be at the end of the reins and you can walk away.

Tying requires a sturdy wall, pole, or other object where you can secure a ring that sits at the shoulder of the pony. Take your pony to the ring, tell it to stand up and walk away. Use verbal cues or even a harvest if your pony tries to back off.

Repeat training until your pony remains in place in the ring. At this point, you can take your pony to the ring, signal it to stay, and pass the reins or rope through the ring. Although you may want to tie it up, keep holding the reins and walk away, increasing the distance until you reach the end of the reins. When your pony can stay in place with the rope through the rings for ten minutes, you can complete the tie and workout.

CROSS TIE

The last type of tie is the cross tie. As the name implies, the ropes will cross and restrict your pony to a more stable position. The ropes will be long enough to secure them to the walls or posts on either side of the pony and only touch the point where they cross. Cross lacing requires an obedient pony that can remain in that pose for 15 minutes. Take your pony to the location of the cross tie, then instruct it to stop. The ropes are attached to both sides of the halter. Then you can separate the regular reins or leave them around your pony’s neck.

As with other workouts, give your pony a few minutes to get used to the new ropes, perhaps brushing it to calm it down. Remember to have on hand your kit of special brushes. Replace the lead rope and return your pony to its position. Repeat this process several times, increasing the time your pony spends on cross ties.

PONY HYGIENE

The last type of basic training of ponies is their hygiene, this part can be turned into something really tranquilizer for the horse. Your hands and a special brush will caress the pony’s body.

Grooming can work as a type of aftercare as a session training ends, and you can also use it to calm your pony down before. First, you need to take your pony and tie it to a ring or pole. Start cleaning in the neck and moving downwards, with circular movements you caress the entire body with the brush.

With smooth movements they help protect the hair. Follow this by brushing the tail. The brushing ends when there are no knots left in the tail and you can easily pass your fingers. Finally, with a soft towel you can finish grooming your pony.

Basic training will leave you with a well-behaved and well-groomed pony. You can move on to intermediate pony training.

HOW TO TAME YOUR PONY STEP BY STEP

Along with cats and dogs, horses are one of the animals that have accompanied humans the longest, and as we have read in one of our other articles, ponies have accompanied us for much longer; therefore, the character of the pony is usually more spirited, so we must double our patience if we want to tame it without damaging it.

STEP ONE -TAMING DE PONY

The first thing we must do is create a bond with our Pony, the ideal is to gain their trust first and make them feel in a safe area. This process is essential to make him understand that we are not a threat to him and that he can rest easy. For this we can resort to different methods when caressing it and having direct contact with it; You can start by calling it with soft sounds and clicks or whistles. You can talk to him very softly and gently, without making very loud or sudden sounds that can scare or alert him.

Never go near it without it allowing you to approach it of your own free will; always observe body language. The ideal in this case is that the equine approaches by itself and greets you with affection, a show of confidence on his part will be that he will bow his head towards you.

Nor do I advise you to hit or intimidate him in any way. With these actions you are only delaying the process of how to tame the pony, and even making the situation worse; As I said in the beginning, you should always treat him with respect and politeness. Also remember that the animal must observe you at all times, so never get behind it, this can be dangerous too.

To further strengthen the bond, try giving it some grass and water while stroking it. The animal will associate this action with a good will and will be more submissive. Once you think you’ve earned their trust, it’s time to move on to the next stage.

Second step -TAMING DE PONY
